Since 1782 the Teeling family has made Irish whiskey. It all started with Walter. In 1782 Walter Teeling established a craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the Dublin area, beginning a 230-year family tradition in the art of distillation. From Walter Teeling to the latest generation of Teelings in Jack and Stephen, who continue with the family's legacy to forge a bright future for distillation in Dublin and Irish whiskey.
The Teeling Distillery was founded by the same family that built the Cooley Distillery. The Cooley Distillery was purchased by Jim Bean, a North American Bourbon company produced in Clermont, Kentucky, for 95 billion US dollars. With the condition that the family could keep their private reserve of whiskeys to continue production. And with these whiskeys the Teeling distillery was born, which now produces a great variety of high quality Irish whiskey.
