Redbreast Lustau Edition 70cl 46% vol. It is, together with Redbreast 21 Years, the most prominent expression of the Irish distillery. A single pot still resulted from the close collaboration of the prestigious Jerez winery Lustau and the Midleton distillery. The whiskey ages in bourbon and sherry barrels for a period of between 9 and 12 years and then spend an additional year in Spanish oak barrels previously wrapped with Lustau scent that imprint in the distillate a character marked by a creamy palate with notes of red fruits, prunes and marzipan that give way to a persistent and sweet end.
Thanks to the long collaboration between Bodegas Lustau and Irish Distillers we can enjoy this great Irish whiskey. Billy Leighton, Master Blender of Irish Distillers and Manuel Lozano, recently deceased, winemaker responsible for the winery and the exceptional trajectory that in recent years has given the winery great prestige at the level have worked on this long-term project international.
Redbreast whiskeys are made in the Midleton distillery in County Cork, along with other whiskeys such as Powers, Green Spot and Jameson.
