Patrón Añejo 1L 40% vol. It is a tequila made with 100% Agave Azul Weber in the highlands, Jalisco. The tequila, freshly distilled, goes through oak barrels for more than twelve months, giving it an outstanding influence of wood in the form of woody notes, vanilla, caramel and raisins with a smoked caramel finish.
All the production of the Tequila Patron takes place at Hacienda Patron in Jalisco. To elaborate the distillate, Weber Blue Agave is used, harvested at its peak of maturity, around eight years of age, when the expert Jimadores and their trained eye, select the plants at their best.
Once the plant is harvested and cleaned with the help of a Coa. The heart of the Agave or 'Piña', is baked in brick ovens in a homogeneous way, after this step, the cooked pineapples, are crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone tahona wheel
The mixture ferments for 72 hours and is distilled for later, depending on the tequila version, bottling or aging in handmade oak barrels. Being the minimum of two months for Patron Reposado and seven years for Patron Añejo, the oldest distillery tequila.
Inside the Hacienda, tequila is bottled in 'Perfectly imperfect' hand-blown bottles and sealed using a cork extracted sustainably in Portugal.
