Glenburgie 10 Years 70cl 40%vol. is a single malt from the region of Speyside made by an almost anonymous distillery, almost all of the whiskey he makes is destined to the mixture of ballantine's so it is difficult to find whiskies from this distillery. Bottled by Gordon&MacPhail it shows medium body, with notes of cereals, baked apples and nuts.

Gordon and MacPhail

Gordon & MacPhail is an independent Scotch whisky bottler and distillery located in the city of Elgin, northwest of Scotland. Founded in 1895 by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail, it is a family business owned by the Urquhart family. Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling single malts for over 122 years and bottles more than 350 expressions from 70 different distilleries.

In 1993 the Urquhart family succeeded in fulfilling a dream that had persecuted different generations of the family, to own a distillery. In that year Gordon & MacPhail bought the distillery located in Forres, Benromach. Thanks to the family's great experience the distillery was re-equipped, restored and inaugurated in 1998.

Gordon & MacPhail has different lines that stand out for different aspects;

Connoisseurs Choice: In 1960 G&M launched a line of whiskies under the name Connoisseurs Choice, presenting a series of single malts that were not available on the market, mainly because distilleries did not bottle their whiskies as single malts. Today, Connoisseurs Choice retains the initial spirit, presenting single malts that are difficult to access.

Distillery Label: In association with each distillery they are bottled and labelled "officially" under the authorization of the distillery. Today, this relationship of trust allows Gordon & MacPhail to bottle at different ages, alcohol volume andintages with the distinctive distillery label.

Private Collection: Selection of whiskies personally chosen by the directors of G&M for their exclusivity and long aging.

Nose: In nose it is soft and fruity; with sweet notes of baked apple, walnuts and malta.

Mouth: Soft and sweet entry with fruity notes, malt bread and nuts.

Final: The end is of medium intensity, with notes of toasted malt bread.
