The Rum Duty Act required all distilleries to obtain a license and sell only bulk rum. So most distillers and sellers became bottlers, including Martin Doorly & Co, soon after becoming Doorly's Macaw Rum, the first rum to be exported out of the country.
The distillery, located in a factory and sugar plantation dating from 1636, has been run by the same family since 1820, now Richard Seale, is one of the most important distillers and master mixers in the rum scene.

Country: Barbados.
Style: Ron Extra Añejo.

Nose: Sweet notes of toffee, chocolate, banana, dried fruit, vanilla and oak.
Mouth: In the mouth, sweet notes of molasses and brown sugar stand out, spices that give way to a dry oak with notes of pepper.
