The history of the distillery begins in 1904, in northern Peru, at the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo, a small settlement between the sea and the mountains, in this place, a group of farmers united to negotiate with their sugar, with this objective and great sacrifice, built a small refinery.
In 1922, the Piera de Castillo family bought the hacienda, the refinery and the sugar plantations, eleven years later he sent his son Augusto to study chemical engineering at the University of Cambridge, in the summer of 1938, Augusto returned to Peru, with machinery to obtain the sugar and a continuous Scotch alembic.
In 1950, the brand Ron Millonario was officially born, hard work, study and investment had paid off.
In 2002, Fabio Rossi from Rum Nation landed in Peru in search of new products, finding a warm, rich and great tasting distillate, one of Peru's treasures. Fabio, with much effort manages to revive the legend of the Millionaire rum, making possible the internationalization of the product all over the world, that until then, only the locals had enjoyed.
