The winery is located between Pesquera de Duero and Valbuena de Duero, within the denomination of origin Ribera del Duero. The director of the winery is the prestigious oenologist Peter Sisseck, creator of Pingus, one of the most renowned wines in Spain to date.
It consists of 78 hectares of a single farm, very limestone soils with a climate that predominates because it is continental. The grapes used for the production of this wine has been, Tempranillo accompanied in minor porcetaje by the grape Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The harvest is done by hand and taken to the winery in boxes. The grapes are destemmed and macerated. It has been aged for 16 months in French Allier oak barrels with racking every few months. The cultivation of the vines is organic.
Score in 2015 with 93 Parker points. It is a wine that we recommend pairing with gutters, stews, rice meat, Iberian sausages and cured cheese. Serve at a temperature of 16ºC to 18ºC.
Nose: Aroma of red and black fruits, together with nuances of toasted and mineral touches.
Mouth: It has a kind and silky entrance. The fruit notes are coming out to give way to the touches of torrefacto.
