The winery is located in the town of Lavern, municipality of Subirats, Penedés. It was the first winery in the area to produce garage wine, a style of wine elaorado by a group of winegrowers whose maximum is the reduction in yield of the vines and the selection of grapes with softer tannins to compensate for the more powerful wines.
The vineyards are between 25 and 60 years old. For the elaboration of the wine they have used the autochthonous grapes of the area such as Cariñena, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Once the bunches are harvested, they are taken to the winery in wooden boxes of 15 kilos, to proceed to select and destemming. Once the malolactic fermentation is finished, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 23 months.
Scored in the 2007 vintage with 91 Parker and 95p points. Peñín. It is a wine that we recommend to pair with big game, stews, ox, entrecot, baked duck and Iberian sausage. Serve at a temperature of 16º and 18ºC.
