Aalto PS 2018 75cl 15% vol. is an exceptional red wine, Bodegas Aalto has become a reference in the DO. Ribera del Duero, located in Quintanilla de Arriba, Valladolid. This single-varietal Tempranillo comes from small individual vineyards between 60 and 90 years old. It is aged in new French oak barrels for between 19 months. Peñín score 95p.

The Aalto winery

The winery is located in Quintanilla from above in the province of Valladolid, within the D.O. Ribera del Duero. At the head of the winery are Mariano García, who for more than 30 years was technical director and oenologist of Vega Sicilia together with Javier Zaccagnini who spent 6 years as director of the regulating council of the D.O. Ribera del Duero.

The vineyards have an area of 42 hectares, the age of their vines range from 60 to 90 years. The predominant climate is continental.

The harvest is harvested manually, delicately depositing the bunches in boxes of 15 kilos, once in the cellar we proceed to the selection of bunches on the table. The grapes are aged in new French oak barrels between 19 months.

It is a wine that we recommend to pair with sirloin, entrecot, stews, legumes, sheep cheeses and Iberian sausage.

Serve at a temperature of 18ºC.

Color: Bigarreau cherry red.

Nose: Aromas of black fruits, spices, coffee and vanilla notes.

Mouth: Powerful, fruity and structured.

Final: Elegant.
