The Tomás Postigo Winery


The winery is located in the town of Peñafiel, Valladolid. It was one of the first wineries together with the wineries of Alejandro Fernández, Protos and Vega Sicilia, to highlight the Ribera del Duero appellation of origin.


The vineyards belong to local winegrowers spread throughout the Ribera del Duero appellation of origin and made up of a total of 32 localities. They are located at different altitudes from 750 meters to 1000 meters. The soils are sandy loamy with stones and limestone.


The varieties used are Tempranillo, accompanied by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, after being harvested manually in different estates and deposited in boxes of 10 kilos, are taken intact to the winery. It is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months with a capacity of 225 litres. Only exceptional vintages have been reserved for the elaboration of this wine.

Tasting notes and interesting data


It is a wine that we recommend pairing with game meats, stews, rice dishes, legumes, Iberian sausages and suckling pig. Serve at a temperature of 16ºC to 18ºC.


Color: Bigarreau cherry.


Nose: Aroma of black fruit, followed by notes of tobacco, spices and nuances of vanilla.


Mouth: Fleshy, enveloping entry with flavor explosion.
