PSI 2018 75cl. 14%vol. is a red wine D.O. Ribera del Duero made by the winery Dominio de Pingus owned by the renowned oenologist Peter Sisseck. After recovering the vineyards of more than 30 years, a wine with Tempranillo has been elaborated together with a small percentage of Garnacha. It has been aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.
The winery is located 30 kilometres from the town of Roa, within the D.O. Ribera del Duero. At the head of the winery is the renowned oenologist Peter Sisseck. Apart from his wines, he collaborates as oenologist in the winery Hacienda Monasterio within the D.O. Ribera del Duero and with his friend Silvio in Château Rocheyron, Bordeaux.
The farm consists of six plots distributed throughout the area by winegrowers associated with the project. At an altitude of between 800 and 900 metres above sea level. The age of the vines is more than 30 years old and the grape varieties used to make the wine are Tempranillo together with a small percentage of Garnacha.
The harvest is harvested earlier than normal because the summer weather is very hot. It is done manually, goes to the winery for selection on the table and then after alcoholic fermentation, proceeds to aging in French oak barrels for 18 months. These butts have previously gone through other wines from the winery, such as Pingus and fFor de Pingus.
It is a wine that we recommend to pair with sirloin, entrecot, stews, legumes, sheep cheeses and Iberian sausage. Serve at a temperature of 18ºC.
