The winery is located in the municipality of Gratallops within the denomination of origin qualified Priorato. The owner is Daphne Glorian, she along with others such as Rene Barbier, Alvaro Palacios, etc ... were the piorneros in the 80s in the recovery of the Priorat. One of the most highly rated wines in the Priorat is produced in this winery, Clos Erasmus scored with 100 Parker points in 2004 and 2005 consecutively.
The Garnacha, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards are spread over the 10 hectares owned by the winery. For the elaboration of Laurel wines are used that had been destined, in the beginning, to elaborate the very famous Clos Erasmus, but, that by organoleptic characteristics does not fit in the profile devised by Daphne Glorian and is redestined to the elaboration of Laurel. To these wines are added wines from younger vines to make the final coupage. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 18 months.
Scored in the 2014 vintage with 95 Parker points and 93 Peñín points. It is a wine that we recommend to pair with sirloin, entrecot, stews, legumes, sheep cheeses and Iberian sausage. Serve at a temperature of 18ºC.
Color: Bigarreau cherry.
Nose: Fruit aromas along with mineral notes, spices and touches of torrefactos.
Mouth: Input with volume, fleshy and very well balanced.
