A wine with great demand that from this year 2015 abandons the philosophy centered on aging to turn into the land. A reliable wine that never disappoints and always surprises.
The winery is located on the outskirts of the municipality of Peñafiel province of Valladolid. Within the Ribera del Duero designation of origin, this municipality is one of those with the greatest wine tradition. From the range of wines produced by the Pago de Carraovjas winery, the aging has managed to be one of the most famous, sought after wines and when it leaves the market it is sold out within a few months.
The vineyards have an age of more than 30 years and are located 850 meters above sea level. The farm has the privilege of having a miroclimate. On the one hand, thanks to the influence of the proximity of the Duero River and on the other hand, in the southern zone the slopes of gentle slopes.
It has been made with Tempranillo grapes together with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in smaller percentage, the aging has been 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Rated in the 2018 vintage with 93 Peñín points. It is a wine that we recommend pairing with Rice with meat, piglet, game meat, Manchego cheese and Iberian sausages. Serve at a temperature of 16ºC to 18ºC
Color: Purple.
Nose: Aroma of sweet spices, notes of red fruits and licorice.
Mouth: Round, structured and creamy toasted.
Final: Excellent acidity.
