The winery is located in the town of Valtuille de Abajo, province of León. The oenologist is Raúl Pérez, who was chosen as the best oenologist in the world at the event held in Shanghai in 2015.
The centenary vineyards are located at an altitude of 580 meters above sea level. They cover an area of 60 hectares and are spread over 300 plots. The soils are sandy and chalky with a continental and altantic climate.
The majority of the grapes used to make wine were Mencía, accompanied by Bastardo and others. Harvesting is done by hand and vinification is done by hand. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 11 months.
Scored in the 2014 vintage with 96 Parker points. It is a wine that we recommend to pair with Sirloin, stews, legumes, rice dishes, sheep cheeses and Iberian sausage. Serve at a temperature of 18ºC.
Color: Bigarreau cherry red.
Nose: Aroma of cassis, followed by mineral notes and toast.
Mouth: Mature, potent and well-structured tannins.
