Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5th Year 2011 75cl 14%vol. is a red wine in DO. Ribera do Douro. Produced by one of the most prestigious wineries in the world, Vega Sicilia, in Valbuena do Douro, Valladolid. Elabored with Tempranillo accompanied by Merlot, has a French and American wooden creation and a five year bottle, hence the name of the wine. Recognized with 94p Parker and 96p Peñín.
They have a total of 1,000 hectares of vineyards, which 210 hectares located on a slope with slight slopes, have them reserved for the Tempranillo and Merlot grapes that will be used for the production of this wine.
The blindfold is done by hand selecting the racemes, to later take to the winery and proceed to the stripping. Once fermented, it will age in French, American and bottle oak barrels for a period of five years, hence the name of the wine.
Punctuated in add it to 2011 with 94 Parker points and 96 Peñín points.
It is a wine that we recommend maridar with ox, entrecot, stews, vegetables, fabada and game meat. Serve at a temperature of 18ºC.
Color: Ruby red.
Nariz: Spicy aroma, with notes of toasts and dominating the red fruit.
Mouth: Balanced, kind and elegant.
