Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin 50cl 44% vol., named after the forest engineer of the royal house of Prussia Ferdinand Geltz, is a complex mixture of thirty botanists from the Saarland area in Germany. The gin, infused with late vintage Riesling grapes, is full and intense, with an outstanding nose with floral and fruity notes.
Ferdinand's Saar gin is born from the collaboration between two traditional-style producers, descendants of several generations of winemakers in the Saarland region. In addition to being friends, they both shared the desire to create a gin that reflected the character of the Sarre wine region, using only a selection of the best products in the region.
Ferdinand's uses a composition of more than thirty botanists from the Saarland area, among which the infusion of Riesling grapes from the Zilliken vineyards, harvested by hand in the large Saarburger Rausch wine area. Some of the botanists we find are; Thyme, rosehip and blackthorn.
