The name Opihr comes from a legendary region, famous for the prosperity and richness of its land at the time of King Solomon. Although it is known that it is located somewhere along the spice route, its exact location remains a mystery.
The botanists of Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin take a long journey to reach their final destination: the oldest distillery in England. Renowned for its quality gins (distilled with the London Dry Gin method since 1761), the botanists merge with the exceptional English alcohol to produce this exotic oriental gin.
The gin is made from ten different botanists, among which stand out; Cuban cubeba berries, cardamom and black pepper Tellicherry from India, cumin from Turkey, juniper from Italy, Moroccan coriander and Spanish oranges. This combination of botanicals, result in a gin with citrus and spicy touches, Ophir presents sweet and spicy notes with a persistent finish.
On the nose, citrus and coriander stand out, in the background the classic juniper appears, this time, sprinkled with pepper. In the mouth the protagonists are cilantro and juniper, leaving a spicy and refreshing final sensation thanks to a citrus touch.
