Auchentoshan, translated from Gaelic means "Corner of the field" or "The corner of the field", is the closest distillery to Glasgow, located in the Lowlands region, is characterized by the triple distillation of its whiskies, which soften the flavors and body of it, and the citrus and vanilla character of its whiskies.
Funded by Irish refugees in 1825 outside Glasgow, Auchentoshan is one of the last active distilleries in the Lowland region. In 1984 it was bought by Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd and began to expand its range of whiskies.
