Bunnahabhain distillery is located north of the island of Islay, founded in 1881 by William Robertson and brothers James and William Greenless, Bunnahabhain, which translated from Gaelic means "mouth of the river", is located at the mouth of the Margadale spring, source of water used by the distillery for its whiskies.
Bunnahabhain is known for making whiskies with notes of nuts and malt on a very soft peat bottom, the softest in Islay.
