Bunnahabhain distillery is located in the north of the island of Islay, founded in 1881 by William Robertson and the brothers James and William Greenless, Bunnahabhain translated from Gaelic means "mouth of the river" and is that it is located at the mouth of the Margadale spring, from where it draws water for its distillates.
Bunnahabhain is known for making whiskies with notes of nuts and malt on a very soft peat bottom, the softest in Islay.
